There’s nothing I love more than working with lots and lots of enthusiastic kiddas..yes really! So I was exceptionally pleased to be asked to run some of the sewing workshops by the wonderful Sarah James for Made by Hand, The Contemporary Craft fair which takes place on the 30th Oct-1st November.
The largest contemporary craft fair in Wales has been on my ‘visit’ calendar for several years starting from the event in Tredegar House in Newport to the positioning in the heart of Cardiff within City Hall today.
I’ll be running some of my favourite ‘make and take sessions’ which have been tried and tested by youngsters over the last year or two at my Chapter Sewcial classes which I organise in Chapter Arts Centre.
From fantastic (and perhaps a bit scary!) monsters full of super soft stuffing to contemporary wrist bands made with a mix of gorgeous felts, threads and buttons, the one and half hour sessions are perfect for introducing newbies to sewing as well as allowing more experienced kiddas to max out their skills.
Over the coming months I’ll be posting up some more about this craft heaven on earth event, but if you want to find out more or book a ticket then click here!
See you in Cardiff!
